Tom,
please try and keep separate issues in there original email topic
threads. I am now really confused since you have answered my question to
Al, K6AVP, but with content that appears to be related to a message you
posed earlier about WSJT-X "crashes".
The only "interaction" between the 32-bit version of WSJT-X on Windows
and the 64-bit version is that there seems to be some incompatibility
with the way window positions and sizes are stored in the settings file.
that is nothing to do with random crashes and certainly nothing to do
with operating system crashes. All it means is that window positions are
not being saved and recalled accurately.
Ok, now you have posted to the original thread - did I say you were
confusing matters!

Bill, one of the first time it happened, I was switching, but after
that I've been sticking to RC5. And as I stated originally, now it
also happens seemingly unprovoked while RC5 is running idle, only
monitoring. I also had "blue screen" a couple of times, and I've had
to pull out the mains power cord and wait some minutes to be able to
start in safety mode. Are you suggesting that there is some
interaction between 2.0.1 and 2.1.0-rc5? Could removing one or both
and reinstalling be a solution? I1m very happy with the FT8 of RC5,
and still trying my best at FT4.
I'm planning on going to the clubstation again tomorrow morning
(that's 0500 UTC), and I might experiment with un-/reinstall then if
that is a viable option.

I have not had any crashes, but have had regular instances of the
WSJT-X main window moving from its previous position and/or
increasing in height on startup, mostly after a preference/settings
change. Usually, the window grows vertically a few rows, pushing
JTAlert partially off screen. Then, if I pull it down before
resizing, resizing is no longer possible as the lower edges are
off-screen. I run WSJT-X on a large second monitor. I have to move
the WSJT-X window to the smaller primary screen and then back to
make the resize capable edges accessible. It’s annoying and does not
happen with v2.0.1.

Hi Al,
are you switching between v2.1.0 RC5 and v2.0.1 when this happens?
