From the subject you should infer that what I am about to say is probably
inside my machine but I feel I
have to ask.

What - FT4 auto sequence does not always happen

snippets from my all.txt file

190801_205830 14.08 Tx FT4 0 0 2380 SU9JG W1SSN FN31
190801_205838 14.08 Rx FT4 -9 0.2 2128 W1SSN SU9JG -11

so far so good

190801_205845 14.08 Rx FT4 -10 0 1031 CE7KF OE3NOB
JN78
190801_205845 14.08 Rx FT4 -9 0 1317 P41E N6QQ R+03
190801_205845 14.08 Tx FT4 0 0 2380 SU9JG W1SSN R-09

Transmitting and receiving at same time?? Radio did not fire but the program
thought it did. Transmit was enabled.

Lost the contact . . .rats.

try again

190801_210000 14.08 Tx FT4 0 0 2380 SU9JG W1SSN FN31
190801_210008 14.08 Rx FT4 -9 0.3 2129 W1SSN SU9JG -14

deja vu

190801_210015 14.08 Rx FT4 -9 0 1139 P41E W4ENN EM64
190801_210015 14.08 Rx FT4 -12 0.1 1830 9G5AR KZ9DX R+06
190801_210015 14.08 Tx FT4 0 0 2380 SU9JG W1SSN R-09

$^^&*%#@#^!!! (Beetle Bailey words here) same thing RX/TX

190801_210038 14.08 Rx FT4 -8 0.3 2129 W1SSN SU9JG -14

From here on to the end of the QSO auto sequence did as desired.

Where:

WSJT-X v2.1.0 24fcd1
macOS 10.14.5 (18F132)

This only happens in FT4 and it happens at random on any band. It does not
matter if I start the QSO with TX1 or
TX2. Has anyone else seen this?

Scott
