Can you check LatencyMon and see if you have some ill-behaving interrupts? The default buffer size for Wnidows audio is supposed to be 4.16 seconds (200*1000)/48000 though Qt claims it's not guaranteed. https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qaudioinput.html#setBufferSize
