In connection with this and slightly off-topic I have some questions for the
development team.

In the .log file the FT4 mode is expressed simply as 'FT4' but in the .adi file
it is '<mode:4>MFSK <submode:3>FT4 '.
So one's log is in two places and it is easy to view and modify the .log file
in MS Excel but this is more tricky with the ADIF file. As I seem to be
obsessed with plotting dots on maps, from time to time I find myself inserting
missing grid squares in both files. Also I use the .log file to reconstruct
ADIF records for re-sending to LOTW, Club Log and others in the event of
network failure.
So :-
Which of these files is used for the Settings, Decode Highlighting
worked-before status ?
Does Rescan ADIF Log make changes to the .log file ?
Is there any intention to deprecate the .log file ?
Also on-topic :-
Is there any intention to replace 'FT4' in the .log file with the full MFSK
string ?

Likewise is it possible that 'FT8' will be designated as an MFSK submode ?

Thanks for all the hard work, it's much appreciated.

Dear developers,

I-am greatfull for you all making WSJT-X 2.1 with FT4 integrated!

I have one question/point of comment:

FT4 is the WSJT adif log file is set on submode FT4. When i upload to my
logbook this adif files the mode is set MFSK and submode FT4.  I think hope
that it must be the same as FT8Mode FT8!?

Please if possible in a new update fix this problem because its makes my log
very inconsistent.
