I have made this observation on many versions of this software, using Windows and using Linux. I have mentioned this observation previously on this forum.
In addition, I have observed, on the Windows installation only, that sometimes the input signal level switches to a high level without any reason. When stopping "Monitor" and re-enabling it again a short time later, the level returns to the "normal" level.
I was never able to find a relation between theses observations and any event occurring on the systems.
