If anyone was seriously concerned about real estate usage in the WSJT-X user window there wouldn't be all that wasted space in the lower left corner for any of the modes. The Frequency display doesn't need to be anywhere near that large, DX Call and DX Grid is mostly superfluous, the size of the Date/Time box is ridiculous ... and all of that could be resized and repositioned under the Auto Seq and Call 1st buttons.
