Good Afternoon,
After working Field Day this weekend, and operating on the FT4 - FT8
station, I noticed that in the Contest Log the QSOs are numbered in the
left hand column, numbers ascending from the top of the log to the bottom.
By the same token, each new QSO is added to the top of the list, which
gives the latest QSO a number of 1, which pushes the previous #1 QSO
down to #2, etc for all the QSOs in the log giving the first QSO of
Field Day a QSO number corresponding to the total contacts made at Field
Day.
My request is as follows, could the QSO numbers in the left hand column
correspond to the actual order of the contacts, with the highest number
at the top, with each new contact added, as is currently done, at the
top of the list, or, if necessary, could the newest contacts be added to
the bottom of the list and have the list scroll up as contacts are added.
A minor issue I am sure, but, if it is possible to do this, it would
give an interested bystander an immediate knowledge of the total
contacts for this station without bothering the operator.
