Jim,

A very appropriate comment based on some email chats here going on in the
background. Background discussion that I have been having relates around the
"standards" discussion opened earlier in the week and the necessity in this
modern day and age for standards with so many new manufacturers - especially
from China - coming online.

The point is that JTDX is a fork ... WSJTX is "The Model". WSJT-X being open
source provides the base from where other things can evolve and possibly
improve (i.e JTDX, JS8CALL just to name a couple of the main "forked" and in
some cases evolved products).

JTDX may very well have processing improvements. That is good, and can provide
some utility for many users. Some MAY prefer its application - and that is
well, good and highly constructive for AR.

WSJTX is the model and sets base standards. Some "enhancements" in forks MAY at
some stages may make it into the model too as it has (i.e. the RR73 from JTDX)
! And that is a good, constructive thing !

Ps: I still use 2.2.1 in this "antipodean" location as it does clearly provide
some advantages, from my experience in my location, over 2.2.2 !
