Hi Christoph,
this should not be necessary, the logging solution is just about
infinitely flexible and works the same on all platforms. See my reply to
Uwe shortly that gives a flavour of what can be done. Note a syslog
logging sink is available on *nix systems for those that prefer managing
logs that way.
