Hi Ed,

Ne is back to CQ RU

Indeed, it would be nice to use in the CQ line f.i. CQ FTRU call or similar
but when you start next qso, the tx6 line goes back to CQ RU.

Would be nice if you keep the FTRU all the way during contest. It would also
be nice if this RU setting could be variable, so many other digi contest

Can use it, like here in the Netherlands we have provinces, NB,ZL etc.
Something like CQ PA CALL, but the problem is that you need to change it
back to PA after every qso.

Regards,

John PA5JS

Onderwerp: [wsjt-devel] FT Roundup Practice Sessions

2200-2230 UTC Friday, 4 December

0200-0230 UTC Saturday, 5 December

Use the ARRL RTTY Roundup configuration/messages in your software. Use the
bands that are open for you and operate as though it is the real contest.
Be sure to setup a contest-specific CQ message, e.g., CQ FTRU, so others
know to call you with RU messaging rather than daily default messaging.

For each of FT4 and FT8 on each band, there are three sub-bands recommended.
See Rule 1. <https://www.rttycontesting.com/ft-roundup/rules/> for details.
When the first sub-band gets crowded, move up to the second or third
sub-band. IOW, "spread out" just as is done in other contest modes.
Everyone will find it easier to make and complete QSOs when there is less
congestion.

Ed W0YK
