I use the program with a FT-897D and found direct connect to radio , or
via FLrig unreliable.
I how run HRD 5.24 under crossover in debian connected to the FT-897D,
and use the HRD option in wsjtx v2.2.2 , it is rock solid.

Hi Adrian,
Thanks for this. I did try that version but I think there is a problem
in the PG is not recognising the USB adaptor of the radio.
I have tried to look for a Linux driver but have not been able to find
one so I need to find a Linux expert to have a look to see what is
going on.
So this project may have to go on ice for a bit.

<http://vk4tux.duckdns.org/1x1/wsjtx_2.2.2_amd64.deb>
which I created to run on Debian Buster here,

You might want to run 'apt --fix-broken install' to correct these.

wsjtx : Depends: libgfortran3 (>= 4.8.2) but it is not installable
Depends: libgfortran4 (>= 7) but it is not going to be
installed
Depends: libreadline7 (>= 6.0) but it is not installable
