Hi Jeff,

I don't have a solution, I tried reproducing the issue using your WSJT-X settings file but it works OK for me. When did this atrt happening?

        Hi Jeff,

thanks for that. Unfortunately in this case the full message
does not help us much. Which version of WSJT-X gave this
        particular error?

Can you send me your WSJT-X.ini file which you will find in
the WSJT-X log files directory ("enu->File->Open log
        directory") please?

The PC has 64GB or RAM...mentioned that because a
discussion talked about memory fragmentation, swapping, etc.

This is a company PC, so who knows what they have done
for "safety". I have enough admin privileges to do most
            things.

There were a number of reports of this error but none
            seemed to fit this situation.

            ideas???

            Jeff,

full error message please? If you hit Ctrl+C as soon as
the error message pops up the complete message text
including the details will be copied to the Windows
clipboard which you can paste into a reply (Ctrl+V).
