Dears,
Despite I was confident that by using a "rolling distribution" like
Tumbleweed is, the frequent packages updates before or after could get
to break some functionalities of the system,
I've always been able to make the necessary little adjusts and
corrections which have resolved the malfunctions I faced so far.
But today I stuck on the apparent impossibility to make the
WSJT-X/CQRLOG work as usual by using the net hamlib rigctl and
starting WSJT-X by the CQRLOG control command.
Currently I only succeed to make WSJT-X working by hand launching the
following command:
/usr/bin/rigctld -m 1021 --vfo -r /dev/ttyUSB1 -p /dev/ttyUSB0 -t 4532 -s 4800
--set-conf=data_bits=8, stop_bits=2, serial_parity=None, serial_handshake=None,
dtr_state=OFF, rts_state=ON
Then I start WSJT-X by the Start Menu using the radio setting to use
my RTX (Yaesu FT-100) since hamlib option does not work anymore, and
everything is working, CAT and PTT which are on separate USB-to-Serial
ports.
Despite it works I see an error message that I would like to share
with this list to see if somebody has already faced this error before:
Hamlib: rig_init: rig does not have rx_range!!
Thanks for your kind attention and for any eventual hints.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for pointing that to me, the thing is that with my compiled RC3
version I have some additional issues managing the serial ports, whereas
by using the WSJT-X 2.2.2 version of a opensuse repository all is
working normally.
Anyway though everything works, it is true only if I set my radio model
in the settings, the previous "hamlib NET rigctl" option does not works
on both WSJT-X versions.
I will go to compile WSJTX RC3 again with latest hamlib version.
Best regards,
