Jim,

Did you deleted soundcard as Bill proposed?
If you unplug your sound card, what happens at “Device management” (hope that
is the English name, I got only a Finnish version of Windows 7)? Is then your
soundcard removed from “Sound, Video and Game driver” list when re-plugging
soundcard, it is listed again?
At least in V2.4.0-rc1 the same happens in Audio Soundcard selection list in my
computer.

Yes, my computer has been rebooted several times. I am told that the "default
device" soundcard was deleted despite that having been what I had been using.
I was told that too many people had not bothered to configure the sound so were
transmitting too much garbage and so you (developers) removed the option. The
problem with that is that it was the only device I had and was using and is a
plug in USB soundcard dongle and yet it became a non choice and yes I had
configured it.

Thank you.

I was using WSJT-X 2.2.2 on my Windows 7 box but earlier today I got notice of
release 2.3.0 and installed it. When I did the new version has no clue about my
USB sound card dongle that I was using successfully with 2.2.2. It shows the
Audio input device is just a (blank) green line or it says "Default Device (Not
Found)" and then tells me the choice is invalid.

2.3.0 also erased my personal info (call and grid). I am now seeing a Hamlib
error too. That would make sense since it does not recognize the sound card
usb dongle on my Windows 7 box.

How do I get 2.3.0 to recognize my sound card dongle? It only lists my
Microsoft USB headset as the only device option.

Thank you.

Hi Jim,

have you tried rebooting Windows. If that doesn't get your sound card listed in
WSJT-X "Settings->Audio" you can try deleting the sound card device from
Windows Device Manager (choose not to delete the drivers if asked) and reboot
which will re-install the drivers.
