Neil, Fair enough. I was hesitant to use WSJT-X 2.4.0-rc2 because of the problems I encountered (which blew up a preamp).
Nevertheless, I just tried the FT8 mode on 2.4.0-rc2 and it appears to work fine. Thus, the problem seems to be isolated to Q65.
