Hi Andy...Yes it happens all the time..BY DESIGN, apparently. I find it most frustrating and bordering on rude. Technically the return 73 is not required for a valid QSO, however it is the polite thing to do. At the very least if confirms to your operating partner that all was received. I would like to at least see it as an operator option.
