Hi Joe, I understand your argument, but being new to 23cm EME (first QSO last Friday) the crashes were very confusing. I saw a station in the waterfall and clicked on it, maybe 3/4 minute later I had a crash. Restarting the instance or even rebooting the machine did not help, the instance would crash again because the Rx offset was still set above 4500. This happened quite a few times before I realised what was happening.
In FT8 this problem is avoided by limiting the Rx value to 5000 Hz and without causing a crash. Maybe similar measures could be implemented for Q65 as well? Btw the crash with Q65 occurs with Rx > 4469 Hz to be more exact. So, limiting the Rx value to 4469 would help. I have no reason to complain Joe. Thanks to Q65 I was able to work 18 initials on 23 cm EME with only 3W into the feed of my HB 3.5m dish. The smallest station I worked used a 2.91m dish. Thank you and your team for your this great software to make this possible! 73.
