Hi Joe,
"CQ MA RI CALLSIGN" is not a standard message. It can be sent only as
free test, and that will work only for a 3- or 4-letter callsign.
Double-clicking on a free text message is not supported, and results are
undefined.
You can work a station sending such a message, but you'll need to enter
his call in DxCall manually.

Now I did notice this.....
A station was calling in the format:
CQ MA RI CALLSIGN
(also no grid square in his text string)
So, I figured I would give him MA, and I double clicked on him, and 2.5.4
would not reply. I figured that particular format was not valid. But just
in case, this is just a FYI. I had never seen that string format before, so
I have no info if it would have worked in earlier revisions.
In working some So Americans this afternoon on 10m, replying to their CQs
worked just fine.
