all compiled from source on linux mint 20.2

decoding no problem .. spectrum works ok .. but if I go to change freq get
the following error reported from within wsjtx :-

Hamlib error: Invalid parameter

I have tried regressing to wsjtx 2.5.2 and various earlier versions of
hamlib with no luck .. although keeping track of everything is challenging
..
I emailed quisk developer and he suggested an issue with hamlib 4.4 + ..
however hamlib 4.5 rigctl seems quite functional including F commands
or an icompatibilty with the newer wsjtx versions (though I tried
regressing here also without any luck)


I do not understand the programming structure .. maybe someone who does
might be able to identify the issue and suggest a fix?

rig_set_vfo seems to be getting a bad parameter ? from wsjtx
