Hi all,
I have now managed to build and run WSJT-X in a Docker container.
With the Dockerfile provided it is now easy for anyone to build (and run) WSJT-X from source.

See my notes here: https://sm6vfz.wordpress.com/2023/07/10/building-and-running-wsjt-x-in-a-docker-container/

Hi,

I think this is a great idea. I use this method for compiling CQRLOG on my Mint PC here. It will however usually require some tweaking to get it to work. But I guess I will have to do that in order to get a way to to easily compile WSJT-X in my environment.

BTW, I have started to look into the code to see how easy (or tricky :) ) it will be to change the state-machine to make the program more robust to the different modes that exists. I see that the interesting parts are written i Fortran, which I haven't touched since around 1980 or so... But, but :)

Hi,
In order not to clutter my normal environment I would like to set up a Docker container for building WSJT-X from source. Looking around I found this Dockerfile: https://gist.github.com/aaronbrown1988/95a0f5bab5ef9b0e6eefa2ad111db758 It is however not updated in 5 years so I assume it needs some tweeking(?) Maybe anyone here know about where I can find an up-to-date Dockerfile in order to build an image for this purpose? And is there any experience here when it comes to building WSJT-X under Docker?
