Bjorn, I had the same thought, however, perhaps they are worried about spectrum pollution, since SuperFox is 1.5 kHz wide all the time. Additionally, some of the variants would not include the spectrum lockout (don't run SuperFox on standard freq), as MSHV is famous for. They have a lot to guard against and I don't blame them for being conservative.
It would be nice to generate a one time key for testing, tied to TE0ST as a call, for this purpose.
