Hi Joop,

What a pleasure, to see your callsign after so many years!

I use WSJT-X 2.7.0-RC5 with a TS-2000 at W2PU, without problems.

Use File -> Open log directory, and send me a copy of your file wsjtx.ini. I might be able to diagnose your problem from here.

Hello friends,

this is Joop PA0JMV and I am new to this group, pse forgive me any stupid questions?

Have been using all versions of WSJT-X since the start, yearsago, and never had a real problem that couldn't be solved.
Yes, I have read release notes and RTFM's, but no working insyallation yet.

MY PROBLEM: after upgrading from a great working release version 2.6.1 , I tried rc4 a few days ago.  (PC=Windows-10pro 64 bit). Today I installed rc5, same problem.

Installation went fine (in a separate directory, as usual), but when I start up WSJTX, my Kenwood TS2000, (connected via CAT for many years) switches to TX mode and no way to  get it in RX mode.

When I look into "SETTINGS-RADIO-tab" I see a comment about _hamlib 4.6 git 2024-06-23_, I tried to install that via the available button, but nothingg changed after restatrting the PC.

Then I tried te revert that hamlib update... nothing changed.

So I fear that a recent wrong hamlib version messes up with my TS2000 (tested to change my settings to any other radio, then the TX mode did not start, but CAD didn't work of course)

I am not a PC specialist, so I don't know how to manually find nor install any other hamlib.dll ....

Please help me, or do I have to wait for another rc?

Thanks, 73, Joop
