Hi Richard,
You are misinformed, or perhaps I have misunderstood what you attempted
to describe. "Split" operation in WSJT-X, properly configured with
either the "Rig" or "Fake it" option, will always keep your transmitted
audio frequency between 1500 and 2000 Hz.
