Hi Andy, I saw the same effect yesterday on 21.091 with my ts2000 when k8r was around 0db and -1dB yesterday, no problem with the decodes.
The spread (fuzz is a good description) on my waterfall was actually quite large >30hz I would estimate. Didn’t capture the files as it was decoding fine. 73’s Nic G3YEG On 22 Jul 2024, at 19:04, Andy Durbin via wsjt-devel <wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net> wrote: I'm decoding K8R on 18.090 with S/N varying beween +6 and +9. The tones are clearly visible on widegraph and for most transmissions the signal appears to be clean. Some transmissions have "fuzz" or spead on the individual tones but the signal still decodes ok. I experimented with different AGC settings to eliminate that as a factor but I found no correlation. K8R is barely moving my S meter off the zero stop when decoding at +9 so the "fuzz" artifact does not appear to be RX overload. I have made screen captures and should have wav files saved. I'll make them available on dropbox if there is any interest. 73, Andy, k3wyc _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
