Hi there,
I’m a fan of ft8, and I use it primarily though the built-in flex radio Smart
SDR for Mac app, but I’d like to use WSJTX on the Mac, since it is the native
application used for this protocol. Is there a way that I could work with some
one around its accessibility? The app *mostly* works, with a few caveats.
The first being is that the callsigns that are displayed in the waterfall are
all over the place so when a blind person is using VoiceOver, trying to find a
callsign that you’d like to work is a challenge, Is there a way to have this
displayed in to some kind of workable table, or have the callsigns appear as
links?
Second, in the preferences > general, and preferences > radio dialogues, and
others, some of the popups don’t provide the state of programatic focus to
VoiceOver so it is hard to navigate through those popups when you are trying to
setup a radio for instance, or making changes to your station setup. I
understand the need to make WSJT cross-platform, but is there anyway this could
be built using some native Apple applications? This would solve 99% of the
Accessibility stuff that is going on between WSJT, and VoiceOver for blind hams
using a Mac.
THanks,
Justin-ai5os
