This might be heresy but... If you get tired of trying to get the radio and the PC talking happily (repeatedly)....
Install Claude on the PC Tell it to get wsjtx working. Tell it to get the Rx level to 74 Tell it to fix whatever else isn't working. And when it's working, tell it to remember how it did it.
