I think part of the problem is that the rest of the Watir.com website focuses on supporting the production releases of iewatir/firewatir, but the platform page talks a lot about more experimental stuff.
I recently had a conversation with the Director of QA at Convio (who had read Alister's recent blog post) and things didn't really make sense to him until I said that Watir.com contained a lot of hype. What would happen if we just said Watir is supported on IE and Firefox and support for other browsers is in development?
