Dave, Baton Rouge has had some success with using the local collection agency to recover additional money that is owed. So far, we have only had to appear in court one time and we did win and have yet to receive money from that case (10 months ago). I did write a letter last month to our collection agency to inquire as to why they are not pursuing the working clients with garnishments.  I do not have a response as of yet. I believe that you should use the collection agency because some clients do finally pay their balances in full when they receive the letters from the collection agency.
