If you are using lynx or any text browser then not seeing the full URL
in plain text will be more of a problem.  With most graphical browers
you can hold the mouse over the link and see the full URL or press the
right mouse button and chose to copy the URL.  In both of these cases
you will get the real URL and not WWWOFFLE's pretty printed version.

Perhaps removing the pretty printing of the URL is the real solution
to this.  On the other hand this feature has been in WWWOFFLE for many
years and nobody has ever felt strongly enough about it to raise the
problem before.  Even now there doesn't seem to be enough people who
want to see the change made to be worth changing it.
