Well i checked it now myself, and have no idea what you are meaning with 
MinGw, since i hear first installed MSYS, and it has a sundirectory 
called mingw, where all mingw stuff goes into.
So what did you donwload and install, when you talk MinGw, or is it a 
spearte thing in e.g. Code::Block.
Yes Cygwin should be oke also, see install.html.
