Exactly, you must build wxWidgest with nmake. Updated the wiki Topic to show 
how.
( only because I use the generated build.cfg, which is only generated when 
using make/nmake)

For wxDocview and wxArt2d you can generate visuslstudio project files.

I don't think 2.9 is the problem.

I corrected the FindwxWidgets.cmake, to get a proper error when not finding 
build.cfg.
Will checkit in this evening.

Nope. And I  was hoping that cmake would create a solution for vs2010 to build 
in the ide just as I do with wxWidgets.
