Ah yes, sorry about that. :-) Indeed, patches would be welcome. We can help you work out how everything fits together (basically, you will need to edit the wxc stuff, I think). Note that we're trying to get the release out by this weekend. I'm not sure how I'd feel about a hypothetical patch going in before then.
