Actually, it appears that this, in addition to what Andy suggested
with the widgetShowAll event, seemed to the the main problem with the
code. After having the event being emitted from the window, and by
adding the widgetShowAll as Andy suggested, the issue has been
resolved. Thanks for helping me solve the problem :)
