But I respect and value > (and pretty much agree with) his opinions about what other areas of > wxPerl documentation need more urgent attention. I haven't looked around all the wxPerl docs recently, so what I'm proposing may already exist, but I'd like to posit a third alternative: A well written set, include several examples, explaining how a Perl programmer would interpret and understand the C++ docs. The disadvantage of translating the C++ API docs into Perlese is that every time there's a change to the API, the C++ docs get updated, and if the Perlese docs don't get updated at the same time, then we've got a lag and eventually the Perlese docs will no longer be accurate. On the other hand, the C++ API docs can be intimidating for a new wxPerl developer. An aggressive, "let's walk together through a bunch of C++ docs line by line and translate them and explain the translation" would be a big help, and it wouldn't require ongoing maintenance. Sort of an online fishing tutorial ;-) Just my 2 cents . . . Toby Ovod-Everett AT&T Alascom Information Services 505 E.
