Hi, Haris,
They came as separate messages. Thanks for sending them.
According to the X10DT development team:
There has been a nasty race condition in the X10DT for quite a while that
I've mostly seen manifest on MacOS, but has been spotted on Windows, and
perhaps Linux. Some people see it more often than others. As (bad) luck
would have it, I almost never see it on my hardware, making it obviously
very hard to track down.
At any rate, if this user is experiencing the bug that I think he's
experiencing, it's related to the "New X10 Project" wizard extending some
classes from the JDT, which triggers the initialization/loading of some
resources (images, I think) in the wrong thread. Why this happens in the
wrong thread is not at all clear. My experience, sporadic though it has
been, says that the "invalid thread access" goes away if the user uses a
JDT view like the Package Explorer before invoking the "New X10 Project"
wizard.
Please let me (and the list) know if that lets you work around the issue
and proceed.
It would also be great if you could assist the development team in
tracking down this issue, as it cannot be reproduced by them.
Hope this helps,
Igor
