Mikio,
I repeated the build using Java 7 on a clean checkout of both the
tag: SF_RELEASE_2_6_0
and on the master branch.
I encountered no problem in either case. I suspect that my earlier
difficulties may be related to my how I used git to revert to a previous
state.
