Similar case here. I have also asked in the bugzilla for xquartz reporting this and they did reply to me ( https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93953#c6) but the response was basically that if I am not a coder or a developer does not step up there is not a chance that someone will be looking into that problem for a fix to be developed. I asked again there to what end the problem lies, meaning whom I should be bothering about this because it is clearly something that relates to Mac computers (i.e. apple, xquartz, etc). I am still waiting for that but will get but to you with any updates. I doubt it though if they will say anything helpful. If anyone knows something about that please share! Thanks!
