Do you mean under program control?  

Using the "mouse", you can move a window to an adjacent Space by
dragging it to the edge and waiting 1/2 a second.  the screen will
scroll to the adjacent "Space" and you put it where you want.  

Or, if you're in Mission Control, where the Space's windows are smaller
so as to represent all open ones, the "desktops" are listed across the
top of the screen.  Drag any window to the desired desktop, and drop it
there.  

While I'm in the neighborhood, I'd like to make a small feature
request.  It would be nice if the current Space could be displayed in
the menubaralong with the date and battery status, etc.  It would be
even nicer if Spaces could have names instead of numbers.  You know, in
the Unix tradition of naming numbers?
