I understand that. My problem is, that I have to decide rather quickly in what respect I can replace LTSP with x2go in a concept I have written for schools. As the concept will be distributed to a couple of potential customers soon, I am trying to collect information as a basis for choice.

No I have not done that and I will do. It sounds like it might also be good to wait for the new package versions.

You point out good issues but let's take them one or two at a time
and drill them out rather than get a whole slew of scattered threads
started.

Yeah, I guess, my requests and questions should rather go into a bugtracker...
