Sorry, you are right. Theoretically, it should have been the right one. But: I also replaced the lenny packages of NX libs in lenny/main with the stable but dirty-build of Alex's NX packages. Stability comes first, then hygene.
If you enable more than the correct repos, you get the newest package in terms of alphanumerical comparison...Still, specifying an exact package version should work, as long as it's present in the repository - which it isn't, as I'm still getting the error shown below:
For lenny, use the ones that are available!!! Also make sure that you get libxcomp*3 from our repos and not from the Debian repos (outdated version of libxcomp*3).
[snip]On squeeze+ please use the packages currently in heuler and report your experiences with stability. I would love to move those NX packages in heuler to main (i.e. considered stable by upstream) but I need more feedback on that. This has been agreed with Oleksandr yesterday in a chat session. If I temporarily add the heuler repository, install the packages, then disable it again - will I be able to upgrade to newer versions once they become part of main, or will this cause breakage on my systems?
Yes! If you wait till tomorrow then our nxagent should also work with FreeNX from Launchpad's freenx-team.
