Hi Mihai and the rest of the dev team,

thanks for all the support - you guys rock!
I tried that version. It starts fine and connects to the server from my G4 but it comes up with an error message stating that it cannot start X11. I tried to start X11 manually before starting x2goclient, but I still get the "cannot start X11" error. The error message mentions possible problems with 24bit colour applications - I switched to 16bit (both in X11 and x2goclient), but it did not solve the problem. Tried to get xquartz, but it does not work yet, because I would need to install Mac Ports what in itself depends on XCode what is an over 900Mb download - too much of a stretch for my shared rural narrow/broadband connection at the moment. If there is no obvious solution for the problem I will try to get XCode from somewhere else and proceed further.

thanks a lot,
Mark

I don't mean to be rude or bold, but what is your reason for not upgrading to
Leopard/10.5? Best regards, Mihai
I can understand your considerations. Just to clarify on the last question:
The organisation that is thinking about implementing x2go is a charity with
the usual limited non-profit budget and they still have a couple of PPC/Tiger
Macs around.
For the sake of it, could you please try
www.ionic.de/x2goclient-git-8c41c073e2-tiger-1.dmg? It's not meant to be
official and I can't test it on 10.4 ppc but from what I see, it should work
fine.
