I had managed in the past, after some wrestling as Spencer says, to have 1.8 (I think it was 1.8) running with Xalan. But I could not repeat the feat (lack of time and differences between versions) with 1.10. Mainly I did some hacking on configuration files. At that point it was clear to me that no way I could get through just depending on the fact that cygwin platform was supported.
I think this is an important issue that should be addressed as a bug. If I find some time this weekend and you are interested I could send the things I did back in 1.8 but I guess the info would be a little bit outdated. jima > > I've opened a bug on this issue - namely that mingw doesn't seem > supported by Xalan (presently Xalan 1.10) out of the box or even after a > little bit of wrestling. > > http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XALANC-620 > > A commentor noted that, since it builds fine under cygwin, there > shouldn't be any problems under mingw.
