Hi everyone,

Thanks for the info. Here's a few more questions I have:

1) When is the latest SVN going to be promoted to release?
Not sure. We still have a number of patches to review and commit.

2) What is/will it's version number be?
1.11

3) what version of Xerces is required? 2.8?
It should be compatible with any Xerces 2.x parser, although we won't guarantee that. We will test and build against 2.8. It should also work with the Xerces-C trunk, which is the 3.x releae stream.

4) Is the "Xalan-C_current-src.zip" in the download sites the latest SVN
version your talking about? Or do I need to download a subversion client
to get at it?
You will have to use Subversion to get the code.

5) Are there any release notes available that outline the changes made
since v1.10.0?
No. Most commits are tracked by Jira issues, so you could look at those to get an idea of what's changed.

And of course the biggest question of them all:

Is there any talk about developing a C++ XSLT 2.0 engine? Are there any
future plans for XalanC?
We can't produce an XSLT 2.0 engine without people volunteering to help out. In addition, I'm slightly handicapped, as I worked on XQuery during my time at IBM, so there are some areas of XSLT 2.0 that I should avoid due to intellectual property issues.
