I'm quite busy right now trying to get the Xalan-C 1.11 release ready,
so I won't have time to investigate this. I would suggest you use the
latest source code in the Subversion repository to build, because I
cannot reproduce your problem with it, and it's very unlikely I will
patch 1.10.
