You are building a huge DOM tree in memory, so your JVM runs out of memory.
You can either
keep increasing the allowable heap size, or try to break up the input and
transform
the little pieces separately.

if I transform a 4 Mb ( 10.000 lines ) , xalan ends with
OutOfMemory exception. Why ?
