Over the last 6 months, we've used the Xalan and Xerces components for
parsing and transforming XML in our Web application. After performance
testing Xalan 2.2D6 and noting its astounding performance gains, both
management and developers here have become very excited for its
production-level release. Hence, I'd really appreciate any information
this community could offer regarding these two questions:
1. When is the next production-level release of Xalan (2.2 for
example) expected? (Any estimate or outlook will do)
2. What is a developer release? Is that comparable to a beta or
alpha release of a product (is it relatively stable)?
I do apologize if my question is unacceptably off-topic. Again, thank you
