http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=4255 preceding-sibling and preceding return the same result. ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2001-11-04 17:27 ------- I'm really not sure what you mean here. I tried the following at it works just as expected: <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"> <xsl:key name="PRODUCT" match="PARENT/CHILD[not(.=preceding-sibling::node())]" use="normalize-space(.)"/> <xsl:template match="DOCUMENT"> <xsl:copy-of select="key('PRODUCT', 'VALUE1')" /> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> With preceding-sibling, it shows both the first and third nodes (assuming I change VALUE3 to VALUE1). With preceding, it shows only the first. Can you please attach complete XML and XSLT showing the results you received and the results you'd expect? Thanks, Gary
