Unfortunately, I'm not sufficiently familar with the inner workings of xalan-xsltc to produce a patch for 'generalized classloading' along the lines you describe. However, in my initial bug report I have given a 5 line fix which is easily verifiable as a solution to a small but definite bug. I don't know who the commitors are for this module, but hopefully the fix is sufficiently small to allow them to add the patch to cvs without raising a sweat! cheers, Roberto
