Is there no way to control object creation when using Extension Elements. My read is if the object is not in the Element Cache, it will create a default instance.
What I am trying to do is share the instance of an Extension element with and Extension functions. I could add a static getInstance() method to my object but that would only be valid to call as an Extension Function once I am sure that the Extension Element has created the default instance. That will probably work but sounds a bit sketchy.
