Brian Minchau commented on XALANJ-1974:
---------------------------------------

Ari, we've played ping pong with this issue, but I've not being able to
reproduce it.

It may be of interest to know that XALANJ-2093, which will be in the Xalan-J
2.7 release, will allow you to specify what \n is normalized to on output. You
can pick <xsl:output xalan:line-separator="
" > and it won't use the
runtime library value for the line separator.

Ari Miller: if this new feature in XALANJ-2093 gives you the control you need
please let us know.

Peter Bachl: I haven't seen that there is a bug here, maybe some behavior that
you don't like. In any case can you let us know if the new API in XALANJ-2093
is sufficient for you.

Vaibhav Kadakia: You posted the problem originally, but haven't responded in 8
months, so I'm keen to close this issue down as not reproducable.

> Hi,
> It seems to be a strage problem. I put a text like
> 1
> 2
> and saves data. When I come back it is
> 1
> 2
> I again saved data and came back it is
> 1
> 2
> It seems that it is unable to parse #xd;#xa; (CR-LF) into #xa; (LF). So it
> increases newline character everytime. I don't know why this problem arises
> but when I was using older version of Xalan set it was 2.2.0 this was not
> taking place.
> Please do the needful.
